Talking science with the general public
[Video Material] Linking personality to evaluative conditioning. An animated depiction
In scientific terms, the focus of our research may seem hard to grasp. So, we put together a plain language and animated visual depiction of what we try to understand and accomplish through our work. How does it look?
[Psychological Science for the general public] Showcasing our work to the general public
On September 29th, 2023, we participated in two distinct events hosted under the umbrella of the European Researchers Night. During these occasions, we had the privilege of engaging high school students in discussions about the onset of psychopathology and sharing our exciting findings from the LEARNVUL project. Subsequently, we showcased some of our lab's tools, demonstrating how we employ eye-tracking tools and reaction time experiments to study learning in vulnerable populations.
[Psychological Science for Youths] Showcasing our work to high school students
On November 12th, 2022, the LEARNVUL team was invited to a winter school for high school students organized by West University of Timișoara. Our presentation was focused on the application of eye-tracking technology in research and how we extended its usage in the field of Evaluative Conditioning. We talked about our work and conducted practical demonstrations of the eye-tracking device. The students could test the device on themselves and were super enthusiastic about this experience.
